What to Expect
A personalized fit check. We assess your piercing and current jewelry to determine whether you are ready for a shorter post.
A better-fitting flat back. If downsizing is appropriate, we select a compatible threadless post based on your anatomy and fit, then make the adjustment for you.
Before You Book
When should I downsize?
Initial jewelry often has extra length to accommodate swelling. As swelling settles, your piercer can assess whether a shorter post is appropriate. Downsizing may be needed before your piercing is fully healed, so follow your piercer's recommended check-in rather than waiting for a fixed number of months.
Pierced somewhere else?
We stock threadless flat-back labret systems only and do not offer downsizing for threaded jewelry. If you are unsure which system you wear, please contact our studio before booking.
Wearing a hoop or curved jewelry?
This appointment is for threadless flat-back posts. For seam rings, hinged hoops, or curved jewelry in a rook or daith piercing, please contact our studio first so we can help you choose the right service.
