Founder Story
Jewelry Has Always Been Personal.
Jewelry has never been only about what I wear. It is about what I carry with me — a memory, a milestone, a feeling, a person.
I grew up surrounded by jewelry and craftsmanship as a third-generation jeweler. Over time, that familiarity became a desire to create pieces that felt less formal, more expressive and easier to make your own.
Color, texture and transformation became recurring themes in my work: jewelry that can be layered, reversed, combined and styled differently depending on the person wearing it.
That belief still guides Nina Wynn today. Fine jewelry should be beautiful, but it should also feel alive — something you reach for, live in and make part of your own story.
My fine-jewelry journey took shape during a trip through India, where a chance meeting with a master stone cutter introduced me to the extraordinary art of transforming natural gemstones.
I became fascinated by the choices hidden inside every stone — its color, shape, texture and the hands required to reveal what was already there. I began to see gemstones not simply as materials, but as individual objects with character and possibility.
That experience helped shape a design philosophy built around individuality rather than uniformity. It is still visible in the color, movement and unexpected combinations that define my work today.

From Nina Nguyen Designs
to Nina Wynn.
For 17 years, I built Nina Nguyen Designs into a nationally distributed fine-jewelry collection known for colorful gemstones, distinctive details and an unconventional approach to luxury.
In 2022, the next chapter became Nina Wynn — a more personal, direct relationship between designer and customer.
The name changed, but the philosophy did not. The same ideas continue to guide every collection: thoughtful design, unexpected versatility, beautiful materials and jewelry that gives the wearer room to express herself.

I have always believed that fine jewelry should move easily between the extraordinary and the everyday.
Reversible hoops, convertible designs, layered necklaces, colorful gemstones and pieces meant to stack together all come from the same idea: jewelry should adapt to the person wearing it, not the other way around.

A New Canvas
Then Jewelry Moved to the Ear.
In 2020, I began developing the piercing jewelry I had been looking for myself — feminine, intricate and colorful pieces with the same personality and finish as fine jewelry.
The ear became another canvas for design. Instead of thinking about one earring at a time, I began thinking about composition: placement, proportion, gemstones, chains, hoops and the relationship between multiple pieces.
That evolution eventually led from designing piercing jewelry to creating complete ear-styling and professional-piercing experiences in Denver.
