A group piercing visit works best when the organizer plans the shared outing and each guest chooses their own piercing and jewelry. Use this checklist to prepare a birthday, bachelorette, family milestone or friends’ visit at Nina Wynn Tennyson in Denver, with a clear headcount, realistic budget and enough room for individual decisions.
Choose the appointment that matches your outing
Nina Wynn’s group piercing service is designed for groups of 3–14 guests. Include everyone in the headcount, including a friend who plans to shop or support someone rather than receive a piercing. Larger groups require advance coordination.
Each person’s placement is a separate decision. Matching jewelry can be a starting idea, but it should not become pressure to choose the same placement, spend the same amount or be pierced at all.
- One person receiving a piercing: compare the standard ear piercing appointment.
- A complete personal ear design: compare ear curation and styling, which includes mapping and a mockup.
- A celebration with several piercing clients: use the group calendar and provide the full attendee count.
- A combined piercing and permanent jewelry outing: contact the studio before booking so the team can confirm the format and staffing.
Group visits are held at Nina Wynn Tennyson, 4258 Tennyson Street, Unit 102, Denver, CO 80212. Choose a reservation before committing the rest of your day to a fixed schedule.
The organizer’s checklist
Before choosing a date
- Count all attendees and note how many are interested in piercing, shopping or simply joining the celebration.
- Ask about children or teenagers in the group. Confirm the correct appointment format, guardian presence and required documentation directly with the studio.
- Collect possible placements and multiple-piercing requests without promising that they will be completed.
- Ask whether anyone wants matching designs, colors or gemstones. Send the idea in advance so stock and suitable sizing can be discussed.
- Tell the team about any combined services or larger celebration setup before reserving.
Once the reservation is confirmed
- Share the confirmed studio address, calendar confirmation and arrival instructions in one message.
- Share a realistic budget range and explain who is paying for which costs.
- Check the cancellation and rescheduling terms attached to the actual reservation.
- Ask guests to review eligibility, identification and consent requirements before the day.
- Allow time for parking and individual consultations rather than scheduling an immediate hard deadline afterward.
On the day
Remind piercing guests to eat beforehand, bring their required documents and arrive sober. Keep any approved food or non-alcoholic drinks in the designated celebration area, away from the procedure area. Confirm cake, catering or decoration plans with the studio in advance.
Make it easy for a guest to choose a smaller piece, a different placement or no piercing. An enjoyable group visit should leave each person free to make an informed decision.
Separate the reservation from each guest’s total
The current calendar shows group deposits from $75 to $550, depending on the selected group option. Piercing services and initial jewelry are purchased separately by each guest. Current published starting prices are $55 for a lobe piercing service, $75 for a cartilage piercing service and $125 for solid 14k gold jewelry. These are starting prices, not an all-inclusive party package.
Use this simple worksheet when you collect preferences:
- Reservation
- Confirm the selected option, who pays its deposit and how it is credited. Review the live booking terms.
- Each guest’s piercing
- Ask for the price of the final approved placement and number of services.
- Each guest’s jewelry
- Confirm the selected design, required components and any differences in size or material.
- Final total
- Ask about applicable tax and any other selected costs before approving the purchase.
- Follow-up
- Ask whether a fit check, downsizing or later jewelry change may be recommended and how those appointments are priced.
Illustrative arithmetic: one lobe service at the published $55 starting price plus one qualifying 14k jewelry option at the published $125 starting price equals $180 before applicable tax or additional costs. That is not a quote for a particular design or a guarantee that every guest can choose that combination. Confirm a complete individual estimate in the studio.
If the host intends to contribute a fixed amount per guest, state whether guests can pay the difference for another selection. Discuss payment arrangements with the team before the event so no one is surprised at checkout. Check the group service page for current pricing and policies.
A sample visit sequence
- Arrive and check in. Gather the full group, confirm attendees and complete required individual paperwork. Let the team know about any change to the plan.
- Browse with a budget in mind. Compare jewelry scale, color and material. A shared inspiration board is useful; a requirement to match is not.
- Consult individually. Each piercing guest discusses anatomy, requested placement, everyday contact and relevant healing considerations with the piercer.
- Confirm the decision. Approve the selected jewelry, itemized cost and marked placement. A guest may change their request or decide to wait.
- Complete approved services. The team follows the workflow appropriate for the reservation. Shopping guests can support the celebration without taking part in the piercing procedure.
- Leave with a personal follow-up plan. Each client reviews aftercare and any recommended fit check. Photograph the finished look only with the person’s permission.
The current calendar shows durations from 1 hour 30 minutes to 4 hours across its listed group options. Use the live calendar to confirm the slot for your full headcount and planned services; do not infer capacity from a sample itinerary.
Coordinate the idea, then fit each person
A group can share a gemstone color, a metal tone or a small motif without wearing identical jewelry. This gives guests flexibility when preferences, budgets, anatomy or available sizes differ.
Online retail prices checked October 17, 2026. Product links show the selected variants. Availability online does not reserve studio stock or establish suitability for a fresh piercing.
Post components are separate purchases. The earrings shown include one 5 mm titanium post, but that length is not a universal fit. A replacement post needs professional confirmation of gauge, length and compatible pin; do not add a component automatically or change healing jewelry yourself.

View exact post componentBrowse flat-back earrings and piercing jewelry for ideas. Contact the studio before relying on multiple copies of a particular design. Inventory, suitable sizing and compatibility must be confirmed for each guest.
For a fresh piercing, use initial jewelry selected through the studio rather than bringing outside earrings. The Association of Professional Piercers emphasizes appropriate material, dimensions and construction for initial jewelry; a matching appearance alone is not enough. Read the APP’s initial-jewelry guidance.
Plan beyond the celebration
Send each piercing guest the aftercare guide and studio contact details. Friends pierced on the same day can have different follow-up needs. One person’s progress does not establish that someone else is ready to change jewelry.
Do not build a near-term swimming outing or mandatory jewelry removal into the plan without discussing it before booking. The APP’s aftercare guidance advises avoiding submersion during healing, minimizing pressure and letting a qualified piercer handle downsizing or jewelry changes during healing.
Where a shorter post is recommended, it is a fit adjustment rather than proof that healing is complete. Review downsizing or professional jewelry changes as relevant to the individual advice given.

Group piercing planning FAQs
Does everyone have to get pierced?
No. Guests may attend to shop or support friends. Include them in the total headcount when reserving.
Can everyone choose a different placement and jewelry?
Yes. Each person’s final choice depends on individual consultation, anatomy, appropriate jewelry, availability and consent. Matching is optional.
Can we bring cake or drinks?
The group service page welcomes food and non-alcoholic drinks in the designated celebration area. Confirm your setup in advance. Alcohol is not permitted before or during piercing services, and piercing guests must arrive sober.
Can children or teenagers join?
Contact the studio before booking a group with minors so the team can confirm eligibility, guardian presence, required documents and the appropriate reservation. Review the kids’ piercing service before the visit.
Is the deposit the total price?
No. Deposits vary by the selected group option and are credited under the calendar’s current terms. Piercing services and jewelry are separate individual purchases. Review the current calendar’s payment and cancellation terms.
Can a guest receive more than one piercing?
Possibly. Put the request in the booking notes. The piercer determines what is appropriate based on anatomy, healing considerations and the available appointment time.
Can we walk in as a group?
Reserve group piercing in advance so the studio can coordinate time, staffing and jewelry selection.
