About the Stone
Tourmaline
Tourmaline is a group of related minerals that appears in a broad range of gem colors. Some crystals contain more than one color, and a cutter may preserve that zoning in a single stone. A multicolor jewel can also combine separate stones of different colors; those are two different design approaches.
Care: Use gentle lukewarm mild-soap hand cleaning when appropriate to the full piece, followed by careful rinsing and drying. Avoid ultrasonic and steam cleaners, high heat, and sudden temperature changes. Treatment and internal features may call for additional care, so ask before using stronger methods.

Will the stone fall out with daily wear? No. The "Flush-Setting" is one of the most secure methods in jewelry making. The tourmaline is embedded directly into the metal, protecting it from side impacts and preventing it from catching on hair or fine knits.
