About the Stone

Topaz

Topaz is its own mineral, not a kind of quartz. Citrine is quartz; aquamarine is beryl. Similar yellow or blue colors do not make these materials identical. White topaz is colorless topaz, not diamond, and should be described by its own name rather than only as a white stone.

Care: Clean gently by hand with lukewarm mild soapy water if the mounting permits, then rinse and dry carefully. Avoid ultrasonic and steam cleaners, high heat, sudden temperature changes, and hard impacts. For coated stones, avoid abrasive rubbing and polishing that could damage the surface layer.
