PIERCING GUIDE

A small detail. A considered fit.

A nostril piercing can be styled with a small point of diamond or gemstone color, but the decorative end is only one part of the fit. Placement, angle, gauge, post length and the shape of the nostril determine which jewelry works.

For Jefferson Park or Tennyson, confirm the service, studio, address and appointment time with Nina Wynn.

A decorative end is only one part of the fit. Your piercer should confirm its scale, projection and compatible post.

Plan the Placement and Jewelry Together

A piercer assesses the nostril and marks a position suited to your anatomy and goals. Bring inspiration for the jewelry you hope to wear later, especially if you want a ring; that helps the professional discuss the placement and future fit.

This guide covers nostril styling. It does not imply that every nose-piercing type or placement is offered by Nina Wynn.

Fine Nose Studs and Compatible Posts

For a labret-style nostril system, the post and decorative end must be matched. A top suitable for a lobe is not automatically suitable for a nostril. End scale, projection and stability matter as well as the material.

The post and decorative end must form a compatible system. A piercer should confirm the connection, gauge and wearable length for your nostril.

Healing and Jewelry Changes Are Separate Decisions

Follow the care and follow-up plan from the piercer who assessed you. Ask a professional about a post-fit adjustment as swelling changes, and have healing and ring fit assessed before choosing a hoop. A calm surface alone is not proof that the channel is ready.

Choosing a Nose Ring for a Healed Piercing

Check gauge and the ring’s stated diameter, then consider the distance from the channel to the nostril edge. A desired close fit should not pull the channel or compress the tissue. Do not select a diameter from a photo of somebody else’s nose.
